Online Double Conversion
The Rotation Series is the ideal power protection solution for Server, Network, Telecommunications and Medical Equipment. Offering comprehensive functionality the Rotation Series can be adapted for almost any application, as the UPS includes free standing or rack installation.
The comms slots allow for network cards (such as the AS400) to be installed, which allows for greater communication and monitoring between the user and their UPS. Online double conversion is hugely beneficial as the supply is restructured, providing a clean output stopping any power irregularities from reaching the machinery or connected hardware.
The performance of the rotation series can be customized to suit your needs. Of particular interest is the ability to shutdown nominated output sockets under mains fail conditions, this feature allows the client to decide which load can be shed in order that more critical equipment can run longer. The Rotation is designed to allow the user to hot-swap batteries, which is hugely beneficial as the load isn’t interrupted when new batteries are installed.
The Rotation Series can be used as a free standing or rack mounted UPS, with identical performance figures in both situations. The power to size ratio of the Rotation Series makes it a big favourite with IT rack builders and designers.
As the Rotation Series is designed with On-Line Double Conversion it allows the UPS to react with incredible speed to any threat presented to the load. This same technology also gives the Rotation Series a great degree of reliability and durability.
The Rotation will accept a large variation in both input voltage and frequency, this is all achieved without reference to the batteries thus cell life is dramatically increased. Most leading brands of “Line Interactive” and “Off Line” UPS invariably have to draw energy from the batteries to assist in voltage and frequency regulation, this in turn shortens battery life.
The online double conversion technology allows for continuous & total power conditioning. This has its obvious advantages, as the AC supply is completely rebuilt at the rectifier stage, cutting out any power fluctuations from the mains.
UPS Management Software SNMP
The SNMP agent can be located up to 5 metres away from the UPS, providing easy access to the data should the UPS be in a hard to reach area. A suitable terminal application is installed at the initial configuration, allowing the UPS status to be remotely observed (e.g. Hyperterminal for Windows).
The embedded HTTP server presents an HTML interface to the network, which can be accessed from any web browser. All system parameters can be configured from here, including scheduled shutdowns. A sophisticated Java applet provides full monitoring in real time along with comprehensive event and history logs.
